Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act

The Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDPA) will come up for reuthorization in 2007. A working group, Act 4 Juvenile Justice, composed of national and state-based organizations, has been formed to ensure that the Act, when it is reauthorized, continues to protect young people across the country.

The working group has developed a "Statement of Principles" which they are asking advocates across the country to sign. The principles may be viewed at the JJDPA issue page, (linked below). If you are interested in signing onto these principles, please contact info@njjn.org with name, title and organization.

The latest information about the reauthorization of the Act can be viewed at www.act4jj.org.

Go to the JJDPA issue page for the Statement of Principles, a copy of the Act, and other pertinent information.
